How is the camera powered?

The camera can be powered by a 12V 1A DC power adapter (A 1.5-meter power adaptor and a 4.5m extension cable are shipped with the camera). You can check what is in the box at the end of the overview page.

What is Wi-Fi 6, and what are its benefits?

Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) is the latest Wi-Fi standard. It delivers faster, more stable wireless performance with reduced latency and improved multi-device connectivity.
It also includes WPA3 encryption for enhanced network security.

Can this camera connect to non–Wi-Fi 6 routers?

Yes, this camera can connect to non-WiFi 6 routers. However,using a Wi-Fi 6 router is recommended for optimal performance.

Can I connect the camera to my PoE NVR or PoE NVR system?

Yes, Reolink WiFi cameras can be connected to Reolink PoE NVR in an indirect way. You can follow these steps to connect them:
Step 1: Connect the camera to a wifi router via wifi signals or an ethernet cable, and it needs to be powered via a power adapter.
Step 2: Connect the NVR to the same router by a network cable.
The NVR will pick up all the cameras on the same network.

Which junction box is compatible with this model?

The B10 Junction Box is compatible with the RP-WCB8MZ camera.

Where are recordings stored? Is an NVR required?

The camera can work without an NVR.
1. When it works without an NVR, the recordings can be saved to the microSD card (purchased separately);
2. When it works with an NVR, the recordings can be saved to the NVR.
Note: For best compatibility, do not use the camera with third-party NVRs.

Can I turn off the spotlights?

Yes, you can turn off the spotlights manually.
By default, the camera’s spotlights are motion activated: it will turn on automatically when a motion is detected. You can turn them off or adjust the brightness to your liking.
Please note that with the spotlights on you can enjoy clear color night vision, but if the spotlights are turned off, you will only see black and white images at night.

Does this camera support time-lapse recording?

Yes. You can create time-lapse videos and photos saved to the SD card.
How to Set Up Time Lapse?

Does the camera support two-way audio?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling you to hear and speak through the camera using the official Reolink app or client.

Can this camera zoom into far objects?
